Pease Pond

Located in Wilton, Maine, two miles South of Franklin Memorial Hospital on State Route 133. We broke ground for shop construction in summer of 2021, and today it functions as the home of MSPI.

Outfitted with equipment for training and general use, the shop also serves as a meeting and classroom space for training and group work sessions. Student work sessions take place nearly year-round, with current work including an Open Shop schedule, (FRC) FIRST Robotics, (FLL) FIRST Lego League, and 'Meet & Do' -- Micropython programming and circuit building.

The Shop

With shop completion and equipment installed, shop users can train to use the Haas CNC mill and lathe to machine computer designed parts while safely enclosed. In addition, a Fusion 3D printer (capable of using chopped carbon fiber for especially strong parts,) and a Legacy Renegade CNC wood router machine (capable of using 4’ x 8’ sheets of plywood) are available for construction of FIRST Robotics competition game field parts for each season.
